AquaPipe® Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) trenchless technology restores aging watermains from the inside out. By eliminating the need for traditional open-cut excavation, we restore water pressure and structural integrity while drastically reducing project timelines and social disruption.
Access and Preparation

We create small, targeted access points to reach the existing watermain. The pipe is mechanically cleaned and inspected via CCTV to ensure the internal surface is prepared for the structural liner.

Our AquaPipe® Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liner is inserted into the host pipe and expanded using water pressure. Once in place, the liner is cured using controlled heat, creating a seamless, stand-alone structural pipe within the old one.
AquaPipe® CIPP Installation and Curing
Robotic Reinstatement

After the new pipe is cured, robotic cutters are deployed to internally reopen service connections without additional digging. The system is pressure tested and disinfected, restoring full hydraulic capacity and structural integrity immediately.

This rehabilitation process will result in improved water quality. This method is fast and less disruptive than complete replacement of the distribution network.
First, a temporary water system is installed along the curb lines of the area to be cleaned and lined. This bypass system will provide water for the approximately four to six-week period that the system is shut down. Water from the temporary water system is tested to ensure safety.
Access Pits – The pipe to be cleaned and lined is accessed by pits approximately four feet by eight feet at various locations.
Cleaning Pipe – The pipe is cleaned and prepared for the lining process.
Lining – The interior wall of the pipe is lined with the cement mortar. New valves and hydrants may be installed as required.
Disinfect & Reinstate Main – The line is then filled, sanitized, flushed, tested and put back in service, the bypass system is removed.
Restoration Work – The restoration of the Access Pit locations is completed as soon as possible.
All jobs and job sites are different. It is difficult to estimate how long a job will take to complete. Residents are usually on our temporary water supply for approximately four to six weeks.
If you need more specific guidance, there’s a real person ready to answer all of your questions.
We manufacture reliable, high-performance fire and water transfer hoses. Niedner hoses are engineered for demanding jobs across municipal, industrial, and specialized sectors, like forestry, oil and gas, and mining. Our high-performance designs deliver superior burst strength and kink-resistant flexibility for long-term durability.
Lightweight attack hoses that deliver superior handling and maneuverability.
Reliable fire suppression and water transfer systems for harsh chemical environments.
Maintenance-free hoses designed for rapid deployment in remote wildland operations.
Specialized for dewatering and resource extraction in the most demanding terrains.
High-integrity fluid transfer hoses built for critical applications.
High-pressure hoses engineered to remain flexible in freezing temperatures.
Aging watermains develop cracks, corrosion, and structural weaknesses over time. Instead of completely replacing the pipes with expensive excavation, we restore them from the inside using advanced Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) technology. This extends the pipe’s life by decades while improving water quality and system reliability.
Our trenchless process brings minimal surface disruption and avoids digging up large sections of street. While you may experience brief water service interruptions (with advance notice), most projects are completed within a few days to a few weeks.
Most neighbourhood projects are completed within 6-10 weeks from start to finish, but project timelines can vary based on the length of the pipe being lined and local conditions.
Although the actual lining work for your specific street section typically takes only 1-3 days, the overall project includes preparation, setup, curing time, and testing phases. You’ll receive a detailed timeline specific to your area before work begins.
The difference is in the details. Our hoses are engineered with premium materials for higher burst strength, flexibility, and long-term reliability. This reduces their failure risk and total replacement costs.
Although some poorer quality alternatives may be less expensive initially, you’ll pay in the long term for disruptions and replacements.
Yes. We offer certified hose solutions that meet or exceed industry safety and performance standards.
Absolutely. They’re designed for high-heat, high-pressure, and harsh weather applications. So you can be sure they’ll perform in any environment.
